Sam originally started riding Royal approximately four years ago for Annie and was competing successfully at Elementary level. She then had a break to have her first foal and two years later after the foal was weaned and she came back into work, Annie approached Sam again and asked if she would like the ride again to produce for sale. Sam absolutely adores working with this mare and fell in love with her all over again the second time round. After a sale fell through, she couldn’t let her go for a second time which is when she bought a half share in her. She loves how sensitive she is; she finds all of the lateral work very easy and has a great talent for the half steps. The next step was competing at Advanced Medium with a view of Advanced and PSG. Royale was doing great at this level but after careful consideration it was decided, between Annie and I, that we would retire her to stud duties. In 2017 Annie chose our super pony stallion Caesar 171 for Royale and we are excited to say that she had a beautiful colt. Annie has called him Caesar’s Royal Prince and we feel this is a rather fitting title for him. He is a long legged strong colt and we are excited to watch him progress. He has already impressed on both the SPSS tour and the ELITE Foal Tour gaining high marks from both the Oldenburg Verband and the SPSS.

I do miss riding and the partnership we had together but I am equally excited to have the opportunity to breed from Royale and produce a new string of young stock with Royale's bloodlines for myself to compete in the future. 

Her first foal for me has arrived in 2022 by the Glamourdale son, Lestingdale. She is a real beauty and will be a future star I hope.
